General-Blog-of-the-Week

There are so many good Klaroline blogs out there and one thing that’s for sure, you can never follow enough. Therefore, we are bringing you another cute Klaroline blog. We’ve chatted with Luiza and here is what she had to say. Don’t forget to check out her blog too.

Why don’t you tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is Luiza, I’m 16 (one month until I’m 17!) – which totally makes me feel as the child in the fandom because everyone is in their 20s and then there’s me – and I’m from Brazil. I’m graduating school this year and I’m equally nervous and excited about it. After school, well, I need to get into a university and hopefully my dream of becoming a doctor will come true.

I’m also really passionate about languages. Portuguese is my first, English my second, Spanish my third and French my fourth. And now I’m venturing into ancient Greek and loving every second of it. I’m also a bit of a nerd and extremely proud of it, in case you haven’t noticed.

Explain your URL and why you picked it.

Well, the meaning of it is pretty simple: I like Klaus and Caroline together, haha. And I chose this URL because it was literally the first thing Klaroline related that I tried that was available and I since it was a tumblr I was creating in another account (I had another tumblr at the time) and I didn’t think I’d be updating it very often I figure it’d do. Obviously, I ended up falling in love with the fandom and this became my main blog and now I think of changing my URL because I don’t particularly love it. I’m still thinking about it, though.

What made you start to ship Klaroline?

So, I started watching The Vampire Diaries in July 2015 when I was in Vancouver. I spent a month there and I was facetiming with my sister when she told me to watch it if I had some time, so I did. I remember watching season 2 when the whole Klaus drama began and my sister told me “Did you know that there are a lot of people who ship Klaus and Caroline?” and I started laughing and saying “Really? Klaus and Caroline? That doesn’t even make sense.” Since she was already in season 3 she said they had some cute scenes together and I rolled my eyes and thought everyone who shipped it was clinically insane. Especially after the scene where Klaus turns Tyler into a Hybrid and they are in the same room. I was being really sarcastic about it “Oh, yes, I can really see the chemistry here…”

Then 3×11 happened. And I thought “Oh.”

“Oh” indeed. I became obsessed with it. Caroline was already one of my favourite characters and so was Klaus and suddenly it just made so much sense! I immediately started to crave Klaroline scenes and then I’d watch these on YouTube over and over again.

And now I laugh at myself because one day I thought I’d never give a damn about this ship.

Why do you ship Klaroline?

Like I said, Klaus and Caroline were my favourite characters in TVD, so I really wanted them to be happy and I think they really have a chance of happiness together.

The chemistry they have, the dynamic of their relationship also really made it work for me. I really hate boring couples whose relationships are simply perfect and nothing is ever wrong and Klaroline isn’t like that. They’re fun, they challenge each other to be more, they have this spark whenever they’re together… It’s always so intriguing and intense.

Also, Klaus is the only person I can see Caroline spending eternity with and vice-versa. Let’s be honest, he’d get bored with Cami soon enough and so would she with either Stefan or Tyler, but with Klaroline there’d always be something new and unpredictable. And I love it.

Do you do anything for the klaroline fandom? Like drawing, painting, writing, polls, manips, graphics, etc.

I can’t draw to save my life. Or use photoshop. But I like to think I can write reasonably well and I try to contribute to the fandom this way. I’ve been writing fanfiction since I was 12 and I was a little bit nervous to write for Klaroline because we have such amazing writers in the fandom, but everyone was so welcoming and supportive since I joined it a few months ago that this experience has been so gratifying. I love writing drabbles, they’re definitely my favourite thing to do, but I also have two multi-chapters being written and it’s been really fun so far. You can find my stories in ff.net and in AO3 under the name of coveredinthecolors.

Oh, there was also this one time I wrote a song inspired by Klaroline and posted a video playing it. Songwriting totally counts as a contribution to the fandom, right? Haha.

Tell us a bit about your blog and why a klaroline fan would like it?

My blog is basically a lot of Klaroline with a bit of some other fandoms such as Harry Potter, Gossip Girl and Taylor Swift and the occasional rambling about what I’m reading or watching. It’s also where I post my drabbles first and where I take prompts, so you’ll always find my writing there. So, hopefully, you’ll be able to enjoy it. At least I hope you will 🙂
