Interview with Klaroline Videos Fan Alin

Check out our interview with Klaroline Video fan, Alin, (dontbeangrylove), what type of videos she enjoys and what her favorites are.

KM: Can you tell us your name and anything else about yourself that you’re willing to share?

Alin: I’m Alin, I’m 18 years old, and I’m studying at university as a linguistic major. I love theater and I have many other interests as well, such as traveling, literature, music, art and Photoshop. I consider myself an optimistic person, I wake up every day with a big smile on my face and try to keep on smiling as the day goes by.

KM: What kind of Klaroline videos do you enjoy watching – angst, AU… ?

Alin: I mostly prefer angst. I love the idea of dark twisted Klaroline.

KM: Would you ever want to learn to make Klaroline videos yourself?

Alin: I tried to, to be honest. But cutting the scenes, matching the music and all the rest takes a lot of time and I don’t have that. I’m just trying to improve my Photoshop skills for now, although sometimes I feel like I can’t put all my ideas into gifsets and that I need something bigger.

KM: Are there any songs in particular that you would like to see in videos with Klaroline?

Alin: Oh, I have a whole playlist of 300 songs in my head now, but I can’t list all of them can I? Lol. Usually, I just make gifsets with lines from my favorite songs actually. Anyway, a few of my faves are: Love Is Blindness bt Jack White, 505 by Arctic Monkeys, Blue Jeans by Bastille, Outside by Stained, No Ordinary Love by The Civil Wars, and Not Strong Enough by Apocalyptica.

KM: What is your view on Klaroline now, and what would you like to happen with them in the future?

Alin: Klaroline has become a big part of my life; I learned how to use Photoshop in just six days because of them! And whatever the writers decided to do with Klaroline, I will never forget how it literally changed my life and introduced me to this beautiful fandom. All I can say is one thing: there’s a lot of potential in Klaroline, it’s already become one of the most beautiful and most popular on-screen couples ever, and all I want is for them to be together and discover all the beauty that this world has to offer. It’s simple, but it’s true.

KM: Do you think that the people who vid Klaroline have a large impact on helping to keep the hope for our couple alive?

Alin: Of course I do. I think video makers, as same as writers, graphic makers and all the rest, have a huge impact in helping to keep this fandom’s hope alive. I mean, just take a look at the Tumblr Klaroline tag! The last Klaroline scene was almost a year ago, but people are still making videos and gifsets, writing fanfictions, speculating and talking about it! Come one, we have our own MAGAZINE! And that’s what keeps everyone inspired and hopeful, the passion with which everyone ships Klaroline.

KM: Are there any vidders/YouTube channels that you would recommend to someone who is interested in watching Klaroline videos?

Alin: I love literally everyone who makes Klaroline videos, really; I can only imagine how much love and passion they put into them. Just type ‘Klaroline’ in the YouTube search box and you’ll see that every single video is worth watching. But I’d really like to especially recommend my friend Angie, aka DarkestDesires on YouTube.

KM: Now that it’s 2015, if you had to guess, what would you think would be Klaus and Caroline’s New Year’s resolution?

Alin: Ah, I really don’t  know, I am not so good at guessing. Lol. I just hope that the writers will finally bring Caroline into the spin-off, as we can see that there’s nothing left for her in Mystic Falls anymore, especially with Liz possibly dying. I truly feel like we are getting a little bit closer to a Klaroline reunion because of all that.
